Discernment-Informed Counseling

Offered in Peachtree City or via telehealth to Georgia residents

A structured, short-term process for couples navigating uncertainty about the future of their relationship.
When Discernment Counseling is Appropriate

• One partner is considering separation or divorce, the other is committed to making it work

• You feel stuck between staying and leaving

• Conversations about the future feel circular or unproductive

• There is a desire for clarity before making a significant decision

A Different Kind of Process

Discernment counseling is internationally structured and time-limited.

Rather than working toward immediate

change, the focus is on:

• Understanding the patterns that have brought you to this point

• Clarifying each partner's perspective

• Considering what each path forward would require

Possible Outcomes

The goal of Discernment counseling is clarity around one of three paths:

1. Continuing the relationship as-is

2. Committing to a defined period of couples therapy with intention (everyone "all in")

3. Moving toward separation with greater understanding, care, and clarity around why

How the Process Works

• Typically 1-6 sessions

• A combination of joint and individual conversations

•.A structured and guided approach

• Focused on clarity for both partners rather than immediate resolution

A steady, neutral pace

This process provides a balanced space where both partners can

be heard.  It is not about taking sides, but about supporting clarity, accountability, and thoughtful decision-making.

Juniper Counseling works with couples in Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Newnan, and surrounding communities. Sessions are available in-person and virtually.
